Feature in Landscape
WINNER: Deepdene Project
Judges' comments
Richard Bellemo's outdoor kitchen contains so many elements that have not been seen before in a residential landscape including the hydroponic rockwall, the mini trout farm and the slate shingled roof and pizza oven. All executed well using sympathetic materials anchored beautifully within the garden.
Sustainable Landscape
WINNER: Deepdene Project
Judges' comments
Many projects claim to be sustainable and many have some components of sustainability. This project demonstrates this by combining local and recycled construction materials using sustainable construction techniques. Using and managing the water in a sustainable way by collecting, recycling and reusing the water backinto the landscape. Plant selection and minimal impact on the environment, all contribute to this project being the Sustainable Landscape for 2010.

Best feature in the landscape
WINNER: RB Landscapes, for the Balwyn project
Judges' comments
RB landscapes have successfully combined a striking triple water feature and screens that compliment the surrounding landscape. This feature sits within a very small narrow courtyard providing a secluded room that caters for outdoor living. A complex project camouflaged by the simplicity of design.

Residential Landscape Construction - up to $50,000
WINNER: RB Landscapes, for the Wheelers Hill project
Judges' comments
This outstanding garden has a strong design theme and contains a variety of unusual hard landscape materials and plant stock. These three elements have been sensitively used in the landscape, linking it with surrounding buildings and wider landscape through colour and structure. The garden highlights what can be achieved in an average suburban block with a modest budget. Creativity, good design and construction are not necessarily restricted by money.
